Ames, Iowa (June 3, 2015) –GlobalVetLINK recently released their latest tool for veterinarians and animal owners, and has attracted a lot of attention within a short amount of time. GVL’s Animal Movement Requirements Look-up web portal powered by the patent pending GVL SmartEngine™ technology, was released on March 16th, and currently has interstate movement requirements available for 15 states. The goal of the web portal is to provide a one-stop-shop for veterinarians and animal owners seeking interstate movement requirements for their pets and livestock. The Animal Movement Requirements Look-up webpage is free of charge to the public. The initial release of the website focused on movement requirements for cattle, horses, pigs, sheep, goats, deer, dogs and cats. GVL is working closely with state animal health officials to ensure the most accurate information possible is available. To see if states in your area have activated requirements on GVL’s Animal Movement Requirements Web Portal, visit www.animalregs.com.

Since the March 16th release, continuous improvements have been made to the website. A feedback feature was implemented for users to quickly and easily submit comments, to which users have been responding very positively. A filter feature was also added to render more specific search results. However, site functionality is not the only thing that has been updated. GlobalVetLINK has also been quickly responding to requests for revised rules on animalregs.com as a result of disease outbreaks such as vesicular stomatitis.

Currently, there are interstate movement requirements available for Alaska, Arkansas, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Montana, New York, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin with several others expected to be available soon.

As the leading provider of digital solutions for animal health, GlobalVetLINK strongly believes in the value GVL SmartEngineTM will offer the animal health industry. This web portal is the first step to achieving a larger company vision that has been in the works since 2001. GlobalVetLINK’s eCVI solution, HealthLINK, will soon be improved with SmartEngineTM technology as well. This will allow requirements used in the web portal to be incorporated into the eCVIs created through the system to make compliance easier than ever before. Offering “smarter”, more efficient products and services helps our veterinary customers save time and money on paperwork, so they can focus more of their attention on their animal clients.
