The Technology Association of Iowa (TAI), the statewide voice for Iowa’s technology industry, and LWBJ announced yesterday, to a record-breaking crowd at the 12th Annual Prometheus Awards celebration, the 2017 LWBJ Prometheus Award winners. The Prometheus Awards recognize innovative companies and individuals impacting Iowa’s $11 billion technology industry, which accounts for 8.8 percent of the state’s GDP and employs over 76,000 workers.

“The Prometheus Awards is the most prestigious recognition for Iowa’s technology industry and brings together leaders from the tech community to celebrate the year’s most momentous innovations,” said Brian Waller, President of TAI. “The 2017 award winners epitomize the great talent, companies and communities in Iowa and further solidify Iowa’s reputation as a technology state,” Waller continued.

GlobalVetLINK (GVL®) won two Prometheus Awards at this year’s ceremony:

“There were a lot of strong companies up for awards this year, and we are just so honored to win in two categories,” said Cliff Smith, GlobalVetLINK CEO. “Thanks to our team for all of their hard work in making this happen.”

Finalists represented a range of industries including: technology, insurance and financial services, agriculture, manufacturing, and healthcare.
