As part of the GVL blog, we’re featuring our employees so you can get an inside view into what keeps GVL running. We are very proud of our team and excited to share some of our employee profiles with you.
Today we’re featuring GVL Client Onboarding Representative Amanda Svoboda.
Amanda joined GVL right after graduating from Iowa State University in 2019. Starting as a customer support representative, she helped answer customer questions and assisted in solving user issues. In her current role of Client Onboarding Representative, she reaches out to new customers as a direct point of contact and provides training resources while they adopt GVL into their daily routine.
Get to know Amanda better:
“I grew up on an acreage in Iowa with a passion for agriculture. My family always had a plethora of animals around ranging from the typical horses, dogs and cats to rabbits, chickens and ducks. Throughout my childhood I was determined to become a veterinarian and every project I completed in school was related back to animals in some way. During high school, I participated in FFA and received my American Degree.
I graduated from Iowa State University in May 2019 with a BS in Animal Science, focusing primarily on equine. At the start of my college career I was still rolling down the equine vet track. I even worked at the ISU Large Animal Hospital, but shifted my focus to other parts of the industry that leaned on the proactive approach to animal health. I was interested in working at GVL to get some new experiences in the animal health field, and the company’s goal to innovate the industry struck my fancy.
My position allows me to connect with a variety of users and create a positive first experience during the learning process. I enjoy being able to tutor new customers on the GVL platform and get feedback from their first experiences with our products.
When speaking with veterinarians and clinic staff, they are pleased with how GVL helps make their tasks faster and easier. They appreciate that our staff is not only available, but also willing to help them, as well as being interested in bettering our system to alleviate pain points. On a normal day, I frequently hear that users are impressed with how intuitive the system is. New users additionally find pleasure in our dedication to get them up and running as smoothly as possible.
During my down time I greatly enjoy going on adventures with my soon to be husband, family and friends, and our two mini aussies. My fiance is equally engaged in the equine industry, competing in rodeo and 4-H, and has a degree in farrier science. Since we have been together, I have voluntarily become his assistant as I love learning new things. Two of my favorite experiences include working at a horse camp in Nemo, SD and hot walking thoroughbreds one summer at a race track.”
From GVL National Sales Manager Ron Lane:
“Amanda is one of GVL’s rapidly rising stars. She has an amazingly analytical mind and unparalleled attention to detail. She began her career a little over a year ago in customer success and applied her analytical talents to solving customer issues and improving their overall satisfaction with the GVL system. She was promoted to client onboarding specialist in January and has had an immediate impact in that position. I am excited to have her as part of my team.”
From GVL Chief Revenue Officer Brett Keirstead:
“We are blessed to have Amanda at GVL! From the moment she started she has been working diligently to improve every aspect of her role and the overall employee and customer experience. She has gone above and beyond multiple times helping us deliver exceptional solutions to our clients. Her recent promotion was well deserved and she is already paying huge dividends in our new customer experience. Amanda is a rock star!”
