GLOBALVETLINK AWARDED RACE PROVISIONAL PROVIDER STATUSAmes, IA June 4, 2013 — The Registry of Approved Continuing Education (RACE) announced on June 1st that GlobalVetLINK (GVL®) has been awarded Provisional Provider Status and is now eligible to present educational courses for Continuing Education (CE) credit. GVL asked Dr. Valerie Ragan to present a webinar for the first CE credit course. The webinar, scheduled for Tuesday, July 16th, is titled ADT Rule & Electronic Documentation.
The webinar will focus on clarifying changes made to the Animal Disease Traceability (ADT) Ruling, which went into effect on March 11th, 2013. The primary objective of the webinar is to educate animal health stakeholders about the ADT Rule in regards to the new ICVI requirements from a veterinarian’s perspective.
GVL Marketing Director, Heather Van Lin states, “The changes in the ADT ruling have a significant impact on the food animal segment of the animal health market. We hope that our knowledge, as well as Dr. Valerie Ragan’s expertise, can lend to clarification on what the changes will mean to veterinarians and how they can help their clients comply.”
RACE is one of the four key programs provided by the American Association of Veterinary State Boards AAVSB. The purpose of the RACE program is to develop and apply uniform standards related to providers and programs of continuing education (CE) in veterinary medicine, as stated on the AAVSB website. All RACE-approved providers and programs are listed on this website. Providers voluntarily apply to the RACE program and agree to abide by the RACE Standards. AAVSB does not solicit participation in the RACE program.
